| Odor Control | |
|
Shortcuts to odor control is not worth the time and effort.
The first 3 methods will control or "cover" it for a period of time.
The fourth is the only technique that will eliminate odor. 1.On Point Restoration Wet-Fogging Method. Very effective when smoke smell is light or used immediately after the fire is extinguished. The deodorant is atomized; the fine mist readily permeates the smallest openings where odors are trapped. Expert application is vital to avoid leaving a damaging residue. 2. On Point Restoration Dry-Fogging Method. This method is used more often because it does not leave a residue and circulates in the air more easily than mist emitted from a wet fogger. 3. On Point Restoration Crystals. Specially formulated crystals are strategically placed in the air handling systems or dead air spaces after cleaning procedures have been completed. The crystals absorb odors and emit a pleasant aroma. 4. Ozone Restoration. This powerful and permanent deodorization method is the only known process that actually eliminates odors rather than “masking” them. Smoke odors are converted into harmless and odorless carbon dioxide and water vapor, Ozone is also effective for destroying mold, mildew and related odors. Ozone is usually introduced through an air moving device or into an air duct system. On Point Restoration also offers special ozone chambers which are used to eliminate odors from documents, furniture, drapery, clothes, etc., Note: Ozone may not be used on natural rubber. *For safety and health reasons, it is important to note that people, animals and plants must be removed from the area during the deodorization process (except when using crystals).
